My Summarized Autobiography.

Soalabo West is a lawyer, businessman and social entrepreneur. He is from Buguma in Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.
He attended the prestigious Nigerian Military School Zaria, the Rivers State University of Science and Technology and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and subsequently admitted to practice as a Solicitor in the Senior Courts of England and Wales, UK. He holds a Master of Laws degree from the foremost university in Africa, the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

He has been actively involved in providing legal services and has advised many companies (including multinationals) in diverse areas of the law including oil & gas, regulatory, corporate compliance and transactional issues in his career that spanned through the law firms of Solola & Akpana (www.sololaandakpana.com) and Adepetun, Caxton Martins, Agbor & Segun (www.acas-law.com).
As part of a team, he has advised the Federal Government of Nigeria in different capacities particularly in the privatization of public enterprises. He is currently a Partner at the law firm of Metropolitan Partners (www.metrolawpartners.com).

Soalabo owns a farm and sits as non-executive director on a few companies involved in media relations & publishing, offshore seismic, oil services, water bottling and waste management.

As a social entrepreneur he sits on the Board of several not-for-profit organizations and is currently Chairman at the Center for Environment and Capacity Building.

Soalabo is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Law Society of England & Wales, the International Bar Association, the
Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria.

Soalabo is married with 3 children and operates out of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He plays golf and loves to support new businesses start up and weak ones get back to their feet.
